A few weeks ago, Hannah got to participate in some cooking classes with four of her friends from church. I applaud the mom who came up with this idea because it turned out to be a great idea and all the girls had a great time. They met everyday for one week. Each day they went to a different house and learned how to make something new. Here is how the schedule played out.
Monday - they made and decorated sugar cookies and made a cookie bouquet.
Tuesday - they made bread dough and made it into pizza and cinnamon rolls.
Wednesday - they had a tea party, made mini cakes and pigs in a blanket and learned about manners.
Thursday - we were at our house and I decided on a breakfast theme. We made two kinds of muffins, crepes and fruit smoothies.
Friday - they made and decorated cupcakes.
It was a great week. Hannah had a fun time and I had fun having them at my house. I thought they would get bored and want to take off and play but they were interested in everything that we did. The most fun was making the crepes. They measured the batter and poured it into the pan, swirled the pan around to spread the batter out and flipped them over when they were ready - all by themselves. At one point I just surrendered the frying pan to them as they kept coming back to make more. We had plenty of yummy things to top them with too - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, choc. chips, nutella, whipped cream and a cream cheese mousse. My personal favorite was nutella with strawberries. So good!

Sounds very yummy!!
